Claudette Silver’s professional work has blended progressive causes with pop culture for nearly two decades.
With a strong emphasis on using events and performances to deliver the message, Claudette organizes events and develops campaigns for nonprofits, musicians and other public figures. From organizing nonprofits on the Lilith Fair tour to designing Lollapalooza’s alternative fuel plan that was covered on MTV, Claudette creates compelling cause-related campaigns that tell the story effectively and with integrity. She currently runs Silver Muse Productions where her clients have included The New Yorker Festival, The Grammys, Broccoli City Festival, Gloria Steinem and author Ian Haney López.
Claudette is also a consultant with the LightBox Collaborative where she develops communications and brand strategies for nonprofits like Welcoming America, Forward Together and Ms. Foundation, among others.
Prior to her foray into communications strategy and public event production, Claudette received her BA in Design from the American University and taught art in the D.C. public school system. She currently lives in Asheville, N.C. where she is an advisor to the Asheville Go Local Campaign.
